Homemade Bone Broth Recipe


  • 4 qts water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsps apple cider vinegar
  • 2 large onions unpeeled and chopped
  • 2 carrots chopped
  • 3 celery stalks chopped
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • 3 garlic cloves smashed
  • 2-4 lbs. meat and/or poultry bones


  1. Place all ingredients in large slow cooker set on High. Bring to boil, then reduce setting to Low for 12-24 hours. The longer it cooks, the better the broth will taste!
  2. Strain the stock with a mesh strainer or coffee filter into large bowl and discard waste. If you don’t have a slow cooker, use a large pot on stovetop set to low.
